When visiting my parents at the weekend I across a china tea-set I was given as a child. It brought back so many wonderful memories of me "making tea" for my dolls.  Is there anything that sparks off memories from the past for you?

  • I didn't know that....

Whiteleys in Bayswater is a shopping centre (mall) and not an actual shop! I know I may sound a little naive but I honestly didn't know that. I always thought it was a huge department store.  What had you always believed but then found out it was something completely different?

One of the things I find most annoying: people running to catch a bus at the bus stop. It waits for them then they get on and cannot find their pass/purse/wallet to pay for the journey. Sorry ladies, but the majority are women rummaging around in their bags for ages. This holds everyone up as the driver doesn't move on and then after keeping us there for ages they get off the bus because they can't find it. Two things: 1. Either...

  • Ex smokers

I've been trying these e-cigarettes recently, well since the New Year. I actually think they're rather a good substitute. This is my 4th month on them and I'm wondering if I've just swapped one addiction for another. Has anyone else tried them, and if so, what are your thoughts on them?

So for those who hadn’t made New Year resolutions, will you be giving anything up for Lent? I love chocolate, so no more will be passing my lips for 40 days. I shall be stuffing as much of it down today until I feel quite unwell. That way I shan’t miss it! Will anyone else join me in givig up anything pleasurable?

  • Solo Holidays: good idea or extremely sad?

Created on: Monday, 27 January 2014
I'm not sure anyone saw all the adverts after Christmas plugging holidays. As most of us on this site are lonely I was wondering if anyone had been on/would go on holiday alone? I would like to go abroad this summer but not sure if I want to do it alone...

So we're just entering the 4th week of a new year and I'm wondering anyone made and kept any resolutions this year? I gave up smoking and have done well so far but it is still early days. What are you doing?

  • New Years Eve – celebrating or commiserating?

I find going out to celebrate New Years very expensive. Is any one doing anything special or will you be having an early night glad to see the back of the last year?

  • Lonely this Christmas?

Created on: Saturday, 14 December 2013
This is the time of year that I feel most lonely. I'm especially dreading the New Year. Do I sound like The Grinch? I was just wondering if I was the only one not looking forward to this and what everyone else would be doing for Christmas.

  • Road running vs treadmill

Created on: Sunday, 22 September 2013
I've noticed there are a few runners on this site. Just wondered which you preferred: road running or treadmill. Personally I prefer being outside, there's something glorious about being out when dawn is breaking. The roads are nice and quiet therefore no pedestrians, dog-walkers, prams or traffic to hinder me. I also love feeling the wind in my hair and breeze on my skin. Anyone else have any preferences?
